Patient Workflow Administrator

37.5 hours per week (8am - 4pm Mon-Fri) permanent position
Salary £ 21,950.00 to £23,950.00 (pro rata) depending on experience
Information is central to all we do to look after our patients. Ensuring it is all correctly incorporated into our patient records is an essential activity. The practice receives a large volume of correspondence and information flows from many sources- hospitals, laboratories, clinics, social services, new joining patients and their old GP records and it all has to be read, understood, prioritised, coded, actioned and work-flowed to the appropriate team member.

Our Patient Workflow team contributes directly to excellent patient care by carrying out actions requested in the letters such as arranging tests, booking appointments or sending information. The important information in the correspondence needs clinical coding so that the computer understands and can generate alerts and trigger care programs for the patient.

It is an exciting and interesting job requiring organisation and accuracy and your efficiency will improve patient care and support the clinical teams. You will have good basic IT skills and will receive good training. You will learn a lot about the health system and medical matters and be a vital part of our team.

NHS pension available.

GP - Associate - Salaried - post (+ partnership opportunity if wanted)

Join our great team in our lovely state-of-the-art surgery opened in 2016.
Situated in a pleasant, leafy but interesting suburb with easy access to central London.

15,800 happy patients. High performers
All the usual bells and whistles. Friendly and supportive learning environment.

We are a well-respected local practice and prominent in the local health economy, chairing the multi-disciplinary complex problem management group, leading IT for the Borough in the new ICS, teaching postgraduates (STs and Fs) and undergraduates. One of our Associate GPs is a SPIN fellow.

We have a great team, including 5 partners (one recently emigrated but 3 more joining), 4 salaried GPs, two Physician Associates, Clinical Pharmacists, first point physio, nurses, 2 HCA / phlebotomists, Social Prescribing Link Worker, F2 Doctors, 2 registrars supportive by great Management and Admin. We’re keen to innovate and happy to welcome new ideas and try things out and welcome new ideas.

We have a the benefit of an independent on-site pharmacy.

We have a lunchtime clinical meeting each week and weekly partners’ strategy and business meetings alternating with whole-practice meetings and primary care team meetings.

We strive for efficiency, using IT a great deal (EMISWeb, Docman 10, Primary Care IT templates and analytics, Patchs, AccuRx, remote access, high numbers of digital patients, GP TeamNet intranet, Envisage screens, IP Phone system - Surgery Connect).

The immediate need is to provide around 4-6 (or more) sessions of GP time - one or more applicants for 'Associate' (salaried) role - but we'd be happy to talk to anyone to discuss their plans! It's mostly about the right person/s, after all! If interested in partnership we're happy to discuss that too.

(Why might we want another partner?: The longer term needs are concerned with keeping a happy, healthy partnership to drive forward practice development as the needs change. The senior partner will be retiring in the next year or two and succession planning is vital. A partner will be committed, keen to be involved, maybe with special interests and to bring in fresh ideas and hopefully in it for the long run to help develop and improve the practice.)

We’d be delighted to meet informally and show you around and if you’re interested will arrange an interview. Please send your CV and a short letter telling us what makes you an excellent candidate and what you'd like to offer.

The offer is flexible and subject to discussion.

''Great team to work with, very supportive colleagues and well established & safe patient care system. The surgery is well connected to community services and provide great opportunity to learn and develop as a professional. I feel comfortable to communicate with senior colleague for help and support.''
